Understanding your options

Ultrasound (sonography) tracks follicles and examines the uterus and ovaries. Hysteroscopy passes a thin camera through the cervix to examine and treat the inside of the uterus, such as polyps, fibroids, or adhesions. Laparoscopy is keyhole surgery to examine the pelvis and treat conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, or blocked tubes.

Questions for your consultation

  • What did the scans show, and why is a procedure recommended?
  • Will it improve our chance of pregnancy, or is IVF a better first step?
  • How soon after the procedure can fertility treatment begin?

Cost of Fertility Ultrasound, Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy in India

An individual estimate needs a defined plan and provider review. Ask for a written breakdown rather than comparing package names alone.

  • Diagnostic only or with treatment
  • Anaesthesia and day-care or overnight stay

Confirm what is included, quotation validity, possible additional charges, and cancellation terms. Allow separately for accommodation, travel, local transfers, coordination fees, and care after returning home.

Recovery and follow-up planning

Hysteroscopy is usually a day procedure with a short recovery. Laparoscopy may need a day or two in hospital and one to two weeks before normal activity, depending on what is treated. Confirm when flying is safe.

Common questions

Diagnostic hysteroscopy may need little or no anaesthesia; operative hysteroscopy often uses sedation or anaesthesia.
